Tracked over two days in Santa Fe in early 2026 with Pearcy guiding the production, the album's sonic landscape nods to the sounds of her Southeast Texas upbringing, the classic films she was raised on, and the vastness of her adopted home in the American Southwest. The twelve songs tell of alibis, confessions, true believers and little twists of fate; skeleton keys, tow trucks, smoked down cigarettes; and of going fast, south by southeast, past pumpjacks in cotton fields, into Houston, and down along the Gulf of Mexico with the sun sinking low in its muggy sky.
Co-produced with Jono Manson and Sergio Webb, the full credits include a curated collection of some of the finest musicians from Santa Fe, Austin, Taos, Nashville, and even Amsterdam.
